1st Annual HFM Scholarship

  • Any farmer, student, or organization is encouraged to apply for the Homer Farmer’s Market grant/scholarship for Agriculture, food sciences, environmental studies, or a related field.  

  • The scholarship may be used towards projects related but not limited to; conferences, tuition, equipment, special projects, or other proposals. 
  • Please include a cover sheet with your Name, Address, Phone Number, and Email. 
    You may also submit a Resume/CV although it is not required.
  • Applications Due by May 1st.

HARVEST PARTY

Saturday, Septmeber 29th 2012 come celebrate another great season at the market! There will be a community potluck. Soup for all!

And Don't forget to stock up on everything at the market because sadly this is also the season's last official market although vendors may continue selling into October.

THE GREAT ZUCCHINI FEST
Saturday, August 25th 2012 get ready for a full market of Zucchini Festivities!
Events include the largest vegetable contest, zucchini car races, and plenty of zuper zany zucchini!

Zucchini Car Races will begin at 1pm. Build a car at home or come early to make one at the market. The only rules are that the zucchini racer must be able to roll down a ramp and to be creative in your zucchini design!

BAKED GOODS - NEW POLICY

FOOD STAMP COUPONS
May 2012:
You can now swipe your QUEST card at the Market! Make your QUEST dollars go farther by purchasing veggie starts at the Market or any of our tasty veggies. Spend $10 and get $20 worth at the Market while funding is available; click here to view and print the coupon.

KIDS' ACTIVITIES
May 2012:
This year the kids' Activities schedule is loaded! Every Saturday there are Family Fun Activities from 11am to 12pm and Skills Building Activities from 12:30 to 1:30pm. For a complete schedule, click here. To see the programs in action, go to the new tent at the end of the West Wing at the Market. The last Saturday of each month will be Kids' Vending Day and make sure to plan for the August Zucchini Races!
